Oil Containment Boom

The Lamor Heavy Duty Oil Boom (HDB) covers the increasing demand for a boom which is specifically suited for use in open seas, harbours, semi-sheltered waters and permanent installations such as oil terminals and power plants. Lamor HDB is available in sizes varying from 1200-2000mm high and 50-200m section lengths.

The Lamor (HDB) is manufactured using the highest quality components and is constructed so that 2 layers of synthetic fabric are vulcanized together with synthetic oil resistant rubber outer layers. The boom is equipped with a ballast chain that guarantees correct deployment in sweeping operations and promotes sea keeping properties. Lamor HDB comes with ASTM connectors as standard and can be supplied with towing adaptors or other connectors at the customer's request.

On deployment the Lamor HDB sits symmetrically in the water allowing it to be maneuvered easily and face an oil slick from either side. Inflation of the Lamor HDB is quick and efficient thanks to the patented Lamor F1 air valve and use of a lamor air blower.

lamor HDB should be stored on a dedicated hydraulically powered reel, enabling deployment of a up to 200m in approximately 15 minutes.

The Lamor Foam Filled Light Oil Boom (FOB) has been designed to provide a quick and dependable means of oil containment. Lamor FOB is equally suited to emergency deployment or permanent use in harbors or oil terminals. FOB is available in sizes varying from 350 - 1500mm total height and its versatility is enhanced by the availability of 25m section length's.

Lamor FOB is manufactured using highly visible red PVC coated woven 1100 dtex polyster which is resistant to the effects of oils and sunlight, this fabric is manufactured to the highest standards in finland. Each section of FOB incorporates reflectors in the boom fabric which are supplemented by light pouches and built in chaff for radar detenction. FOB derives its floatation from resilient closed cell foam and ballast chain is incorporated into the skirt for stability.

Lamor FOB can be supplied in a light weight storage rack which allows a number of section to be pre-joined ready for rapid deployment. The racks can be stacked on to of each other for storage or shipemtn. Alternatively this boom can be supplied on powered reels holding up to 300m of boom for effortless deployment and recovery. FOB Comes supplied with ASTM end connectors as standars but can also be specified with the end connectorsof the customer's choice. Lamor FOB can be easily and effectively cleaned using the Lamor Boom Washing Machine while in the water or after recovery to land.

The Lamor Beach Sealing Boom 9BSB 550 / 10m) can be used to seal the land / water interface in shallow water, calm rivers or inter-tidal areas.

The Lamor BSB is manufactured from highly visible International Orange polyutherene coated high tenacity polyamide fabric giving it excellent durability and flexibility. Lamor BSB confirms to tensile strenth and tear-strength tests carried out in accordance with internationally recognised DIN 53356 / 53354 and 53361.

The Lamor (BSB) consists of 2 levels of chambers, the upper chamber is inflatablr while the lower chambers are filled with water to provide ballast and stability on the beach. Each air chanber is equipped with 1" Monsun filling valves in wach end of the vhamber while the water (ballast) chambers are equipped with 2" Monsun water filling valves in each end.

The Lamor BSB comes with ASTM connectors as standard for connection to offshore boom. Alternatively BSB can be configured with connectors of the customer's choice.

Each section is configured to prevent splash over in beach deployment and sizes available vary from 450 - 1000mm freeboard and 5 - 25m in length. The BSB can be stored on Lamor oil boom reel or each section is packed in its own boom bag.
